Florencia González Alzaga

Reflecting emotions, capturing colors, she looks on and keeps looking, searching and never ending to find… that is the proposal of Florencia González Alzaga (43), who, camera in hand, makes her way and communicates.

Her first individual exhibition “Fidelidad Maldita” (Damned Fidelity) took place in 2006 at Zavaleta Lab. There, she heightened very poetically the sense of nature, lights and shades, the freedom of the birds from Esteros del Iberá and finally the sensuality and eroticism of race horse breeding. In 2007, along she came “Por Piedad”, individual exhibition at the EC Gallery of Contemporary Photography, where her teenage children became her main characters. Vacations, a stroll along the riverside, a hobby, target shooting. She also exhibited her work at Arte BA, Fair of Contemporary Art - Catena Gallery - in 2007, 2008 and 2009. In 2008 and 2009 she participated of two exhibitions: “Aclarando” (Brightening), individually and “Norte colores en los ojos” (North, Colors in the eyes), collectively; both of which were organized under the coordination of Arturo Ballester Molina at Nikon, Martinez. Nature, landscapes, colors, people, lights and shades. Her compositions reveal feelings, moods and a look that goes far beyond.

In September, she will participate in an exhibition at Gallery B in Lexington Kentucky. This time, Florencia González Alzaga invites us to share in her compositions through her photographs, her trips, her stories, her wondering around the magical and enchanted gardens of County Kildare in Ireland, where each season awes us with its variety of colors and textures. The photographs of racehorses could not be missing, competing in Ireland, at the National Hunt Cross Country, a test filled with natural obstacles and intricate turns, where anything can happen…

Alert, patient and vigilant, Florencia González Alzaga, captures the ideal reality through the lens of her camera.
